Back to the Future Part II die-cast (1:18 scale)

"The way I figured it, if you're gonna build a time machine into a car, why not do it with some style?" -- 'Doc' Emmett L. Brown

I just bought a Back to the Future Delorean die-cast from the BTTF Time Travel Terminal, its 1:18 in scale and it looks awesome. Below is my review sent for the item.

to infinity and beyond!
4out of 5
Pros: Durable, Attractive Design
Cons: Flimsy
Best Uses: Special Needs, Entertainment, Learning
Describe Yourself: Collector
The first time I saw Back to the Future (BTTF) movie, I was amazed by the car itself. it took me 20 years for me to get hold on this die-cast model and it doesn't disappoint.

the details are good, the stainless steel construction are marvelous. the wheels are converted to a "flying" mode with a push of a button which is helpful.

the only downside of this model is the wheels are not properly placed when in "normal" mode. the wheels feel lose and it doesn't look nice when placed on the display board.

I took the car for a visit to my office yesterday and I was the star in the limelight for the day! haha... This is a MUST for every BTTF fans out there. 4/5 stars!

It's quite expensive to get this model into Malaysia. With much luck and effort, I made it, haha! Thanks everyone, especially to BTTF Time Travel Terminal for making my wish came true.

a wordle a day, keep you sane all day...

"If the movie trailer looks awesome, the movie is gonna suck!"

maybe you won't realize it but i did some research on it and so far, i was right.
just see what happens to movies like Prince of Persia, Clash of the Titans, Percy Jacksons and the Lightning Thief, Legion and Ironman 2. What a shame...

But if the movie trailer is too short, doesn't look good or it doesn't tells a anything clear, the movie will turn out OK and pleasant to watch. Just look at movies like Book of Eli, Kick-Ass, Predators, and The A-Team.

As a conclusion, watch the movie trailers first before you waste 2 hours of your life in disappointment.

WORLD CUP 2010 fever!

hello!
it's been a month since my last entry, you might be wondering... where the hell did i go?

apart from feeling down after my last entry about women who smoke is not cool, Malaysia didn't get the chance getting back the Piala Thomas and how much the latest summer movie sucks (yes, it sucks) very bad, i guess after all that grief, i'm back baby, yea!

to start off, i would like to say thank you for reading my blogs, and please keep on supporting ^^

to the world cup,
alright, the World Cup is almost at its end and the team that make it through the semis are not what i had expected since the games begun.

As we all know, the teams that make it through the semis are Uruguay, Holland, Spain and Germany.

After seeing Germany played against Argentina last weekend, i would say that Germany likely will win the World Cup. Some fanatic fans decided to go with Spain after an Octopus (yea, you heard me) choose Spain inside an aquarium where the Spain and Germany flags were. This is just weird, why are you taking an advice from a creature with tentacles? haha, weirdos!

enough said, i'm looking foward to the final this Sunday and whoever wins, we're still a loser...

p/s: Fairuz Fauzy, if you're reading this, please don't make us Malaysians look bad when you're driving the F1 machine this coming Friday. I wish you all the best!

a wordle a day, keeps you sane all day...

the sentence for today is...

"Girls who smoke are NOT cool"

Why there are so many pretty and beautiful girls smoke? It breaks my heart...

There were once a time where the perception of those who smoke are cool which makes them look mature. But, not until the early 80's people realize the effects of smoking. Much awareness, promotions and ads showing that smoking is not good for your health has been done but it just like pouring water onto oil, it doesn't mix!

Girls, whatever the reason is for you to smoke, whether to keep the mosquitoes away, or to make your boobs larger or it can make you thinner and slender or as an anti-stress agent or because you can make friends easier... please, STOP! It's for your own good.

FYI, I don't smoke.

PIALA THOMAS 2010

As an opening entry for the month of May, I would like to talk about Piala Thomas. Yes, the Thomas Cup Championship is back and our country, Malaysia has been given the privilege to be the host for this once in a two year event.

I still remember the historical event of 1992 where we got the Thomas Cup back after a 25 years of waiting... I was in standard 2 and i remember it just like I saw it on tv yesterday. With the help of youtube and the magical world of the world wide web, we could capture that moment again and again. Watch the video below...

Can we repeat the 1992 victory?

...and now after 18 years, we still craving for the Thomas Cup! What the hell happen?

I totally agree that the 1992 squad was a powerful squad although they didn't put much hope on getting back the cup that year. But, their sportsmanship was very strong, it seems like they could move over a mountain with a single touch. Yea, WOW!

The 2010 team? Well, I don't want to put a lot of hope on them but with veteran players like Wong Choon Hann and Hafiz Hashim (who is the first Malaysian to won the All-England Cup) they could make a good comeback.

Lee Chong Wei vs Lin Dan again?

With the guidance of the Sidek Brothers like Rashid Sidek and Misbun, anything is possible. Misbun who created the S service was unbeatable until BWF had to banned the service... ya, because no one else could master the service. What a shame!

I wish the 2010 squad a very good luck and please keep the sportsmanship alive! This is a teamwork competition, not a one man show. Give support to your fellow members and pray for the best!

Wordle_03

a wordle a day, keeps you sane all day...

the sentence for today is...

"Some Orchestra Conductors are MAD!"

They look like a crazy person when conducting, but they have the most complicated and genius brain that a normal person wouldn't have. Hey, as long they get their job done and we, audiences satisfied with the performance, it doesn't matter at all. On second thought, it does look cool too.

Take a look at this guy, Karajan. The expressions are priceless and he's really passionate about conducting the orchestra. Without him, the orchestra won't have the motivation to perform beyond outstanding measures...

This guy; Carlo Maria Giulini, looks like he's having a spiritual moment or maybe he didn't get his twiggies this morning. Haha, just kidding. A part from that, he did very well on conducting the Beethoven's masterpiece.

Finally, lets take a look at one of Beethoven's masterpiece and see how complicated his brain works on composing this masterpiece. He's trully one of God's gift to us.
On the video, each bars and colors represents different music instruments and key notes. Just watch, listen and you'll understand.

Don't judge a book by it's lame cover... until next time. Take care!

a wordle a day, keeps you sane all day...

the sentence for today is...

"People who jumps queue are uncivilized!"

yes, they're rude + selfish + deserve a fine ticket. Yes, there are set of rules and some can be broken but it's not applicable when you're queuing for a train, bus or any public transport on that matter. People just don't like you and hot chicks will hate you. Even those cute Korean guys disgust girls who jumps queue.

and please, let the passenger disembark the train before you board it. It'll make our life much easier and trains don't have to delayed every time.

What? emergencies? Use a taxi la!

KICK-ASS!

Yup, I just saw the movie. Who played Big-Daddy? Read on!

A world with superheroes in real life?
It's not pretty I tell you.
The movie is full with hardcore action and blood everywhere. Not to mention the "F" word is used all the time also by the little girl played Hit-Girl. Dreaming on becoming a superhero so you could save other people and make other people like you, it just doesn't happen that way in real life. Being a superhero, you might get a lot of hits in youtube and myspace for being popular but are you really saving people's life?
That's what KICK-ASS is all about.

Kick-Ass and Red-Mist in a cool Mustang!

Dave Livewski is a regular high school student who loves comic books. One day he is inspired by all these comic books to become Kick-Ass, a superhero with no powers. First time he tried, he got stab and ran down by a car. Pity him.
Later, he is joined by Hit-Girl and her father Big-Daddy (which is surprisingly played by Nicolas Cage) and they form a vigilante team, fighting drug dealers and vandals.

When a drug dealer wants Kick-Ass dead, the drug dealer uses his son (Red-Mist) to get Kick-Ass to him. When he did, a worldwide internet broadcast was done where Kick-Ass and Big Daddy got their ass kicked brutally.

She's young, talented and cute?

Some of the female audience might not like the violence portrayed in the movie. Yes, this movie is for those above 18 only. Although this movie contains a lot of violence, explicit language and blood, it has a good moral value, drama and a bit of comedic value to spice up the movie and in the end, justice does prevails even in an unexpected way. As a conclusion, this movie Kicked Ass! Enough said.

I give it a 4 out of 5 stars!

from today, I'll post up sentences or words from what I have experienced for the day or just anything interesting that pops-out from my mind.

the sentence for today is...

"Don't eat McD inside the Komuter train you dumb!"

Ya, was on my way back home when I saw this 2 girls eating McD burger inside the train. How rude, and the smell... it's just got all of us hungry. Hey, we are all tired and hungry too but can't you just wait or eat before you board the train. There's a reason why a sign that says "No Eating" for.

Are you blind?

VIDEO GAMES LIVE! in KL 2010

It was a SPLENDID evening! It started with a medley of old "micro genius" games like Tetris, Mario, Pacman, Donkey Kong and Pong. It really does reminds me of the good old days.

Other songs played that evening were games from Megaman X, Sonic the Hedgehog, God of War, Halo, Metal Gear Solid, Medal of Honor, Final Fantasy X, Advent Rising, Legend of Zelda... and they kept the best for last, songs from Castlevania, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross was awesome!

Performing the music from Chrono Cross

Tommy Tallarico, the founder of Video Games Live come up with the idea and the first concert was held in 2002. After 8 years, this is their first ever show in Malaysia! Tommy joked "Sorry that we're 8 years late! It took us us 30 hours to get here, so feel the love!" haha. The concert was conducted by Jack Wall, which is also the co-Creator and Executive Producer.

I saw the ad from the big screen near the Getah Asli Building, Jalan Ampang. Firstly, I taught its just a video games convention where gamers meet and show off their skills. Not until I googled it then I realize, this is a MUST WATCH not-to-be-miss event! For those who still don't know, VIDEO GAMES LIVE is an Orchestra Concert playing songs, soundtracks from video games, old and new.

The view inside the Plenary Hall, KL Convention Centre

The cheapest ticket was RM83 (RM71, student price), I just don't care. The luckiest person to go with me was my little sister who enjoyed the show very much.

On that evening also, a Malaysian Guitar Hero Champion played a song from Van Halen titled JUMP in front of the audience with Tallarico play along with his electric guitar. That kid played the expert mode and the hell he impress all of us. I really wish there's a video that i could show how awesome it was. Also, there's a 43 year old dude chosen from the audience to play SPACE INVADERS on stage interactively.

We also have a small video chat via Skype with the Father of Video Games, Ralph Baer. He's 88 years old!

One happy customer, haha!

I did bought some merchandises such as the T-Shirt and an LED necklace which is cool!

I really hope that they will come again next year and I want you guys to join me. You won't regret it!

goin BACKWARDS!

Well, I was goin back from work. Moving backwards in a train just came up to my mind. As a result, i took this footage from the Kelana Jaya line LRT goin backwards from station KL Sentral to Bangsar.

One of the most awesome view that you can see when the train is moving. Maybe Jackie Chan could do some chasing scenes for his new movie on this track. It'll be awesome don't you think?

Enjoy.

F1 KL STREET DEMO 2010

Finally, Michael Schumachumacher is here in KL,
I wouldn't want to miss this. With my Canon Powershot camera, I was hoping that i could get some good shots there.

Goin straight to Jln Binjai, KLCC after work and there was a lot of people. I couldn't get a good angle first time then i went inside the arena where i saw Michael riding a bike and Nico Rosberg at the pit area. Also, some beautiful chicks there, hehe...

The sound of the F1 engine shock the silent atmosphere to a very powerful and energetic evening and it was pouring with rain too.

Yup, Pit Pulse does give your pulse a workout.

Roads from the KLCC area that they closed for the F1 Street Demo.
An actual F1 car driven by Schumi and Nico. Too bad no reverse gear eh :p

Here is the new Mercedes "Gullwing" safety car.
I wonder which one comes first, DeLorean or this Mercedes?

Beautiful is it? After the event, its good to see the tallest twin towers in the world. It does makes me feel proud to be a Malaysian :)

Check out the videos i took from the event. You could see Schumi did some drifting stunt using his F1 car, cool.

MPO first experience!

MAGNIFICENT!
That's the only word that I could describe the Beethoven Greatest Trio chamber concert last night.

There were 2 part in the chamber concert. Each of the play consists of 3 players and the concert was LIVE for an hour. Beethoven's songs are amazing, its just like he's writing a story except in music notes and he was deaf!. Truly, it was a very pleasant experience. Powerful unfiltered raw music!

I'm planning to go for another concert soon. Anyone care to join?

Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE Sneak Peak

This exclusive footage was aired yesterday (24th March 2010)
Feast your curiosity with behind the scenes (BTS) from the movie as well as footage showing the newborn army, fighting and action choreography for the film.

The director is known for his direction for the movie 30 Days of Night. Assuming that 'dark elements' will be implemented for the movie, hopefully it will make the movie look more 'mature' and enjoyable to watch.

It's going to be awesome.

The Twilght Saga: Eclipse will be in theaters June 30th, 2010

I WANT YOUR JOB!

...

Can I have your job, James May aka Capt. Slow? Richard Hammond? Jeremy?

I would love to tell the world on how to be a good Top Gear presenter and drive Fifth Gear's own insanity to a full ocean of nothing!

I have been a fan of cars especially fast and powerful cars. I love to drive them in the morning, the smell of the burn petrol and the adrenaline rush, I just love it!

I don't have the characteristic or charisma like Jeremy Clarkson but I do have the same character and passion like James May... with a better sense on driving better than him, haha! :p

I eat G-Force for breakfast!

FYI, I attended the AADA Advanced Driving Course in 2009 and Honda's Safety Driving Course in 2008. Have been implementing the techniques learned everyday since. Oh, I used to drive Subaru Impreza Ver.7 too.

She loved it when i drive... she really do

Oh please Top Gear, I can have a job there?!
I really want it!
Seriously!

The Soul of HACHIROKU

This is my dream car, take a look at it. It's just a work of art.

Been told as a replacement model of the AE86, the car that make Initial D an international sensation. With rear wheel drive, this is the perfect car for those who wants to have a different kind of driving experience and it's also a great car to start drifting. It has me targeted to own one too!

Expected to be launched next year...

For now, feast your eyes with this official images from Toyota.

Just look at those sport rims, auw!
The back side does look a bit odd but what the heck! I don't care!

The front does look a bit like a Dodge Viper eh?

With a 2.0 L Flat-4 Toyota-Subaru "D-4S" Boxer engine, this car is gonna 'fly'!

Maybe those seats will be changed to Recaro bucket seats...

Look at those... Will it make it to final production?

AE-86, the car that started it all.
In Malaysia, it costs around RM50k to own a good one. For me, its too expensive for 2nd hand car :(

The BLOODLINES...

FT-86 is still in prototype development. I have high hopes on this car as i have been for the recent Lancer Evolution 10. Could i afford this FT-86? as Evolution 10 is too expensive here in Malaysia (approx. RM300k with tax, which i hate). Lets pray for the best, still we have to wait for a year to see the final production of the car.

So, lets start saving now!

Twilight Saga: ECLIPSE trailer!

the wait is finally over...

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse teaser trailer is online today! (11 March 2010 @ 8pm, Malaysian Time). After watching it, i could say that twilight fans are not going to regret it as the teaser trailer shows the following events taken from the book.

A short clip of the Volturi meeting Bella and Edward after a gruesome fight with Victoria.
The Bella's inner conflict on which side she should choose... between Edward and Jacob.

"In a few decades, all the people that you love will be dead"

It's just sad to know that the coming event might upset Jacob's fans but it's interesting to see on how they would make it onto the big screen. Well, we just have to found out this 30th June wont we?

"You won't have to change for me Bella, I'm in love with you and i want you to pick me instead of him"

Planning a war strategies guys?

Yes, Victoria is bacckkk!!!
(Ya, they re-cast her. If you notice, it's Peter Parker's college lab partner from Spiderman 3)

I'm just eager to see the jealousy scenario in the tent during the storm where Jacob and Edward had a talk fight while Bella is in a sleeping bed with Jacob. Will it be on the feature movie? I don't know. Finger's crossed.

Who will you decide Bella?

Will look forward to the full length trailer somewhere around April or early May. I really hope that for the next trailer, there would be some scenes of the final battle, some sneak peek on the newborn army and the vampire-werewolves alliance!
